The Hummingbird Flocking Moon

The Hummingbird Flocking Moon enters its final quarter at 6:16 p.m. Pacific Time on September 11. At the end of this final phase, many hummingbirds will have flown south.

As summer nears its end, I am grateful to have captured "on film" what may be my last hummingbird sighting of the year. The glow from an apple on a tree in the background seems to emanate from the beak of this tiny winged jewel!
